If you're not familiar with The Chemical Brothers, I highly recommend this compilation. It briefly resumes their stuff released during the period lasting from "Exit Planet Dust" to "Come With Us".Furthermore, if you're looking of more Chemical Brothers stuff, get this double CD edition.Seriously, that bonus disc is at the same level as "Exit Planet Dust and "Dig Your Own Hole", maybe even better.It contains one of my top 3 Chemical tracks ever : "Loops Of Fury" released in 1996, as well as many B-sides like "Not Another Drugstore" (that can be heard in their DJ mix "Brother's Gonna Work It Out") "Otter Rock" and the superb "If You Kling Be I'll Klong You".Plus, you have nice live versions and some different versions of "Under The Influence" and "Galaxy Bounce".Indispensable for any big beat collector.

Behind the name Chemical Brothers Tom Rowlands and Ed Simmons the deejays. They initially operated under the name Dust Brothers, until in America a producers team with the same name turned out to walk around. In the mid 1990s, surprised the music world renamed to Chemical Brothers duo with plates, on which an energetic mix of dance and rock. Together with Fat Boy Slim Tom and Ed were the standard bearers of a new movement that big beat or "chemical beats" was called. One of the first Chemical Brothers knew a large audience for dance to win, not in there in that instance was interested. It supplied them the mega status in both Europe and America.

I won't harp too much of whether or not this is the "definite" retrospective (What? No "Music: Response"?!?!). I WILL say that you can't help but shake some part of your body while listening to this comp. It's also interesting to hear Tom & Ed's aural progression over a decade. BTW, "Star Guitar" floored me on my first listen. This 2-disc set is notable because of two live tracks and a bunch of unreleased gems and rarities, including the highly-heard (but rarely obtained) "Galaxy Bounce".

The real well kept secret on this compilation for me is "Under The Influence (Mix 2)" which tuns out to be an amazing acid track with a very subtle low bassline. Absolute genius!
