This is the last record the band did with Raybo singing tell 2012 with the release of "Blvd Of Broken Bones". Well, he went out on a high point. But really how could he and this band not have. This was the end of a five year run where this band was more prolific then any other band in that time period. My admiration for this band is well document and my fondness of this album I have also made public with my poorly written review of this record three years ago. So I am here to finish what I started and do it fucking right! "See the animals locked in a cage, you got to set them free. Counting bodies through a hang mans noose, is our history". - "Followers Of A Brutal Calling" - First lyric By the fucking balls, that lyric and the brute force of the song had me. "Followers Of A Brutal Calling". This song is violent music for violent times. For decades we have had issues of police over stepping and abusing the people they are there to protect. "Wrecking Crew" is a song in a long line of punk songs speaking out against such abuse. The sheer force of will and unrelenting rhythm gives the song a since of unstoppable doom. For years I have been debating what the song "Hold On To Me" means. Is it about a spiritual force like God giving redemption and salvation or is it about a tangible love for another person. That person who finds the best in us. That person that shows us a strength in us that we do not always see. maybe it is about both? I know this this song has a special place in my heart. "Hold On To Me" has been a great companion in some troubled times. With sharp jabbing Blitz styled guitars strike the attacking "With Out Love". Talk about a song that is a cry in the dark or the provable screaming at the wall. I listen to this song and I am so fucking great full for everything I have become. I look back and see were I came from and see the woman next to me know and know I never have to walk this earth with out love again. Talk about a song that makes my mind drift back to my reckless youth, "Dead End Street". If my little sister ever reads this review, Missy you should check out this song. It sums up the chaos and fuck it attitude of those scary days. "Blood guts and glory. Battle wounds and scars. I don't need someone else to be, or tell us who we are" - "Warriors" First Lyric With inspiration and power Bonecrusher delivers "Warriors", for all of us who are still standing. Still going forward. There is something in there music that can just make a mother fucker like me feel so fucking alive! If you have not heard this band, then please move out from under the rock you have been residing under! Seriously if you are new to Bonecrusher there sound is unwavering and uncompromising. Bands like Motorhead, AC/DC and The Ramones come to mind for being that consistent and that good. Bonecrusher may not change there approach but who the fuck would want them too! I do not buy a Crusher record wondering what are they going to do on this record. I listen to Tom Waits for that. I listen to Bonecrusher because it sounds fucking awesome and it speaks to me.
