This is a really sloppy compilation and poorly mastered one at that. The "Remix" of Flesh on here is a slowed down 33 1/3 version rather than the original 45...that tells you how much care went into this. Stick with "Ballistic Statues" or even the "A Split-Second" ep that was released on PIAS.

Tunes like "Burn Out (Beat Mix)" and, to a lesser degree, "Neurobeat" are a little unfitting remnants of Marc Ickx' dance pop past on this otherwise solid, if minimal early new beat/EBM album. Sure, this is a compilation, but then again, the song "Neurobeat" is taken from the same album as the hard hitting "Rigor Mortis", and "Burn Out" originally appeared on an EP together with the much darker "On Command" and "Flesh".
