This album is unexpectedly good. Possibly Grover Washington, Jr. most commercially viable funky jazz album. I'm pretty sure I picked this up a thrift store for just $1.99, it's totally worth the 99c prices and up it's selling for here on discogs.It was sat at the pack of a pile of vinyl to convert to digital, and to be honest, given the Cosby connection, I wasn't hopeful. However, this album is a much more funky style of jazz than we'd seen from Grover Washington, Jr. in his last few years on Creed Taylor Kudu label, and a very different style from the early work on the same.The CTI Records house band featured many stars in their own right, and they'd show on each others albums. This album uses a different ensemble including The Brecker Brothers. The Cosby vocal tracks, "house full of love" and "look at this" are ho-hum, the rest of the album a cracker.
