Anyone on sound quality/pressing quality? I’ve heard bad stuff about the NWR silver vinyl pressing, wondering if this is a step up.

Basil Poledouris' score to RoboCop is one of the almighty scores of the 80s and a true testament to the power and awe of real movie music composition. Blending orchestral with electronic, a fusion that mirrors the man/machine, natural/synthetic theme of the movie itself Poledouris created an undeniable powerhouse that is breath-taking in its boldness and gut-wrenching in its tragedy. With the monolithical achievement of the Conan scores already behind him Poledouris proved he was no fluke when he scored RoboCop.However, this vinyl release is a major disappointment. If you have the 1987 LP do not even bother upgrading to this one. There have been 2 vinyl releases this year, both from Milan. The first was in the NWR series and featured truly horrific artwork (what were they thinking?) that I absolutely would not want in my house. The second release features far superior art, but no gatefold and no colored discs. They are 180-gram, but both are squeezed into one sleeve. The splitting of the score across 2 discs also leaves for a lot of empty space. Considering how little bonus score is included over the 1987 release they are really pushing it here. Also, the arrangement of "Across the Board/End Credits" is different from the movie version, which really bugs me.Honestly, stick with the original album, this one is a missed opportunity.
