Just chiming in. Sorry y'all about bad experiences. Mine sounds incredible so not sure where the variation is.

i was going to say they same thing but wanted to wait after a few listens. i would say i'm more in the middle -- overall, very listenable (and i have a nice system) -- a little distortion on the vocals on the first track and i believe it probably was mastered from the cd -- some light surface noise in spots but not distracting. i'm glad i bought it even though i had some reservations reading some of these reviews.

Seems to be a bad pressing which just drives me effing crazy!!! How does poor quality control let these get to the market. Mine pops and cracks even after vacuum cleaning and ultrasonic cleaning. In addition there is an unlistenable amount of sibilance on the first track. I haven't made it through the rest of the LP because the enjoyment of listening was sucked into the void of " poor pressings". Aargh!!!

Buyer Beware - I can now confirm both the black & blue coloured vinyl release contain 'hiss' in the audio. Disappointing! I'm now the owner of two vinyl editions that are unlistenable :-(

Can anyone comment on the audio quality of this black vinyl release? The limited edition blue vinyl LP release appears to have 'hiss' and some minor distortion on Patty's vocal track...most likely a pressing fault.

Not sure if just my copy's a dud, but sounds like a poor pressing to me. Tinny, distorted highs. Maybe the black vinyl is better?

YES! So glad you posted Leftcircles!! I bought the Blue vinyl version of 1000 Kisses from B&N and mine has noticeable hiss on Patty's vocals through all tracks. There is even some distortion on the hiss in certain parts which is painful to listen to. I tested the MP3 download card from the album on the same audio equipment and it plays fine. I'm convinced based on my assessment it's a pressing fault. There is no visible defect and it's only on the vocal track. I've just emailed B&N to see what they say but I'm not expecting a good result. Can someone please comment on the standard black vinyl release?
