I picked this up for pennies not long after it came out, probably 1980 or so. I think it was 25p or something like that, in a bargain bin. I liked it ok - especially Choose Your Cheese. For some reason though I took it to a record fair around 10 years later and sold it. Some guy was after it and kept coming back to my stall and eventually I capitulated for £7. Big mistake. Years later I bought it back off Discogs (my first purchase actually) and I can tell you I paid a lot more than £7 for it. It's got some inserts and promo stuff that my old copy didnt have so I suppose that eases the pain a little.Alvaro had some connection with The Clash - well, he was in the 101ers with Joe Strummer back in the mid '70s.He is 'the Chilean with the singing nose'.I'd like his 1977 album Drinkin' My own Sperm (great title) but never seen it at a reasonable price.
