Daft Punk - Random Access Memories (Édition Studio Masters) mp3 album free

Tantil
This is the first Daft Punk album I have purchased. I was already familiar with singles from the first album and I got to know all songs on Discovery thanks to the "Interstella" feature film. I also enjoyed the music watching "Tron" the movie but beyond that, I never went further into Daft Punk world.Well after first listen, as far as I am concerned, "Random Access Memories" appears to be a real masterpiece. I was blown away.Drums, bass and guitars are played live, which brings tremendous strength to this electronic music. There are at least two instant classics on this record: "Giorgio by Moroder" which is the best possible tribute the guy will ever have (a good part of the album sounds like a Moroder tribute, by the way), and "Touch".And outstanding songs all the way through the record with the exception of a very few: "Lose Yourself To Dance", for example, is quite dispensable. The mood in most of the vocal songs with vocoder reminds me of "Something About Us" from "Discovery".The second half of the album is the strongest and tracks such as "Beyond", "Motherboard", "Doin' It Right" (Beach Boys-esque vocals) and "Contact" (what a great ending) are unforgettable.I was not expecting that much.As much as I am a fan of Chemical Brothers, I now think that R.A.M. is head and shoulders above their work and that they have a lot to do with their next album to match the quality level of this one.Regarding the sound quality of this studio master edition, I have to say that this is one of the best mastering I have ever heard. The amount of dynamics provided by those high resolution files reach a stage I had never encountered before on my Hi-Fi equipment. I honestly don't understand people complaining about the sound quality. I assume that there must be a device in their setup that doesn't do justice to the recordings...
Jek
In all honesty i have to ask who is responsible for this poor reproduction on this particular version because this was a disappointing first time listen to a new 'Daft Punk' release ? :( Clipping everywhere, 24 bit ringing / buzzing high freq sound that should never be on this release or any other releases for that matter !1/5
Funny duck
studio masters... blech. same mastering as CD, which is brickwalled. vinyl has best dynamic range in mastering. disappointed in qobuz to say the least...
Reddefender
yes, by vinyl in my original post, I meant the vinyl release of RAM.

stlkrVinyl have a70 dB of dynamic range. The 16-bit compact disc has 96 dB. 24-bit digital audio has144 dB dynamic range. I was speaking bout dynamic range in audio formats and you were talking bout dynamic range in music. You didn't make that very clear. His bad English aside, I assume OP was talking about 'Random Access Memories' itself rather than vinyl and digital as a whole, in which case he's right - the vinyl version does sound a lot better than the CD version since they've compressed the shit out of the CD version.
