Thank god for this great album being reissued on RSD. And thank whoever worked on this for making it sound great too. The first striking quality of the sound is how it utalized the low end a lot, something which I can really adore on any record in general but especially modern day pressings. It might even have utalized it too much as everything seems to have been brought down a notch perhaps, making mids and highs a little more muffled. This could also be a good move however as they trimmed off all irratating sibilance on S's making the sound real smooth. One mans muffling just means anothers louder playing and I do think the record shines at slightly louder than normal listening levels with blooming bass and instrumental realism. The question is then if the vinyl is quiet enough for that cranking need, and I say it is. The surface noise is close to being just slightly too much but manages to not be detrimentally affecting the enjoyment. And with no loud pops I cant really complain about my copy while it admitadly could be better of course. The imaging is fairly clear, just not as wide or tall as it probably could be for all tracks with the best engineers working on it. But honestly with the work done here its a well made record that most anyone could enjoy and I actually doubt even an original is better, I just wish the vocals or mids in general had a little more presence and kick to them.Equipment Used:Rega RP1 with Nagaoka MP-110 CartridgeCyrus 2 AmplifierSystem Fidelity SF-3050 Tower SpeakersCustom made HQ Speaker Cables
