Notes
All material previously released.
Recorded 12/1980, IRCAM, Paris (1.1 to 1.4), 06/1981, Studio 103, Radio France (1.5 to 1.7), 11/1990, Maida Vale, Studio One, London (2.1 to 2.12), 05-06/1981, Studio 103, Radio France & IRCAM, Espace De Projection, Paris (2.13 to 2.24), 12/1980, IRCAM, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris (3.1 to 3.14) during the Festival d'Automne à Paris 1980 "Igor Stravinsky".
By mistake 4 horn players are credited in the booklet for "Quatre Chants Paysans Russes" (tracks 2.13 to 2.16), as in the 1954 revised version of this composition, but actually the version recorded here is the original
a cappella version of 1914-17. Track 2.20 ("Madrid") has been performed on a pianola built by Rex Lawson in 1978-80.
