Comparatively, the original pressing was released in 1986 and it can be distinguished by the audio on side B, the different information printed on the labels, and Frankford/Wayne Mastering Labs' information stamped into the vinyl of the runout grooves (just like it is on Lesson 1, 2 & 3). Similarly, the Tommy Boy label's catalog numbering system only utilized three digits during the early 1980s, and not the erroneous four digit "8601" shown on this release. Lastly, the letter "Y" in the "Tommy BoY" logo is missing a fraction of the right bottom of the letter "Y", which is not only present, but also appears identical to the logos found on the labels for the unofficial versions of "Lesson 1, 2 & 3".
On this release, the labels incorrectly credit "Double Dee", a.k.a., Doug Di Franco, as an engineer and his duo Double Dee & Steinski as both the release's main artist and its producers. However, Di Franco did not contribute to this release. By contrast, the artist Steve Stein performed and produced this release under his alias Steinski & The Mass Media. It was mixed by DJ ET and engineered by Craig Bevan. Thus, only the correct artists have been added to the release artist and credit sections of this entry.
