While I truely respect the review from the Discoger before me, the only reason you would buy this is for "The Raindance" Like Verhoeven mentions it is a journey!!! the intro with the chorus is awesome & the tribal housey precussion give the track (& the whole E.P a unique flavor.) the main melody reminds me of Mijk Van Dyk - The Wildlife. A nice "winter feeling" melody. lasting 11:38 in duration it is one of the longer trance tracks I've listened to, but it beautifully builds up in that duration, you are truely replenish & satisfied after listening it! & true gem indeed. But the other 3 tracks are somewhat far as impressive as track 1 "Men Of Tommorow" comes close as being as good as "The Raindance" a very uplifting rave tune with similar chorus as used in "The Raindance" unlike many tunes that utlized a similar "happy" beat in many rave tunes this one uses a cool tribal precussion that fits well in the track. the Opera scream is excellent but some will not like it. the other is a pretty standard rave melody and that's it. Track 2 is really good but comes short & being the beauty of a trance tune that is "The Raindance" the other two tracks are average at best: "Berlin Shuffle" reminds me of a club tune released in the early 2000's very advanced for it's time, the percussion is nice and tribal & the main melody is a weird un natural flute melody. It's a decent tune that is a bit overrated but not bad. "Space Shuffle" begins with a beautiful spacey piano which made me thought that it was going to be similar to "The Raindance" but it turns out to be another rave track with fairly decent main melody the spacey beep used in some parts is cool but it isn't anything special. Still you should try to track this CD (Or vinyl) "The Rainmaker: is a must that every trance fan should listen before dying and thats something to say.

This release was one of my favorit and most played records in the second half of the 1990s. "Raindance" is - at least in my opinion - one of the top 5 or top 10 top tracks ever released! "Men Of Tomorrow" is not trance of all, but a very well done and very upbeat rave/party title, that always gets the floor boilin'! Style-wise "Berlin Shuffle" is somewhere between house music and good ol' rave. This title really was a sleeper hit. I know many djs who played "Berlin Shuffle" more often than "Raindance". "Space Shuffle" is the weakest track on the record. This doesn't mean that it's bad - it just isn't as good as the other titles. And perhaps while the other three titles are more or less timeless, "Berlin Shuffle" sounds very 1990s-like. This release covers different styles of house/trance/techno, but somehow the use of sounds and harmonies makes this release a very well rounded record. Youn can put it on and listen to it like an album. Even on repeat. And that's saying something.
