Novak were an unusual band with a style distinct from anything else I own: their music understated but powerful, sad but not depressing, psychedelic but not too challanging. The album that follows this is excellent, and in many ways more accomplished than this EP, yet there is somethig more experimental and deep about these tracks that draw me back everytime.These tracks captivate the essence of what I like about Novak; they contain the same aesthetics of Repunzel and Silver Seas but go further, becoming more abstract yet retaining the melancholic harmony.Apart from the last track Telesphere, which is different mix of the first track, the three tracks are all distinct and of the same quality. A unique EP, and one I cherish.
