One of the most beautiful albums I've heard in awhile. This is unlike any other Blue Note release I own. The tempos are mostly slow and the mood is bluesy with a strong late night/early morning vibe. It might be a little too slow for some tastes but I like this a lot. Albums like this are why people shell out for fancy audiophile editions (on any format) instead of whatever common version you can find at big box stores. Get this Music Matters version if you can.
