Reissued as a double pack, but the sound quality isn't much different from the original 12". In most tracks the hihats were hissing a lot and they have tried to remove it with EQ, with reasonable success. But overall, IMO, they removed too much treble on all tracks. Especially on the deep house side the tracks sound too muffled while they sound great on the original release.

I'm not happy with the sound quality, must be a vinyl rip, with a lot of edition. But I don't know the quality of the original!

I really can't believe we own the same record. Are you sure you feel like this? In my ears, this sounds as much as the opposite of a vinyl rip as possible: open, transparent and crisp, with a clear and expanded sound stage, excellent deepness and pressure and literally no background noise at all. In fact, instead of hearing the characteristics of a vinyl rip I rather hear that it's digitally remastered - which is generally not a favorite thing of mine, but here it's really accomplished in good way, making this one the best sounding house records I own. It is interesting however, how those impressions can differ, and makes me think...

I was waiting soo long for this - and I'm not dissapointed. The pressing quality is excellent and the sound is simply awesome! Those 303 lines in "The Acid Life" are growling as deep as one could ever wish. Finally, this acid house masterpiece is ready to hit the floors again after almost 30 years. 30 years, can you imagine? And still such a killer! Thank you, Trax people, so much for this.
