"Pray For The Light" is a very pleasant surprise for me, and I am very happy I did decide to purchase it. (If you've read any of my reviews, you'll know how difficult it is for me to resist any Oasis CDs on The Godfather Records). I knew I'd love Disc 1. It's the usual format of approximately 4 or 5 songs from the newest cd/lp Oasis is touring that year..in this case, "Dig Out Your Soul", accompanied with some of their catalog of numerous hits. (Thankfully, Oasis does "change-up" the setlist, so you don't have a collection with all the same songs.) The revelation, for me, is Disc 2; the latter portion. If you think as I do, I was wrong; it isn't purely "acoustic", or "unplugged". (I'm not a big fan of that). No, on these Noel is probably on acoustic guitar, but I believe Gem is on electric and there's tamborine &, quite possibly, keyboards, too. Not only that, but it's an uncommon setlist from Noel...most dating back to the early days of Oasis. My particular favorites in this portion are Noel's renditions of "Cast No Shadow" and "Strawberry Fields Forever"...just brilliant in their simplicity, because Noel sings with such emotion. "Pray For The Light" is unique in that it's the latest (or last) songs combined with Oasis' earliest songs. If you're debating purchasing "Pray For The Light"...don't. Just get it. You'll be glad you did. It's well worth it, even if you only like 1 of the discs. I highly recommend "Pray For The Light"!!!
