This 12" remains one of the most prominent dance classics of the era! Speaking of the production team, not quite sure by that time Raymond Calhoun was still with the group, yet Reggie Lucas, Rowland Smith and the legendary Nick Martinelli did such a great job on Never Too Late For Your Lovin'! It's guaranteed those haunting keys (probably Prophet V?) could easily turn one dull moment into the funkiest one, and not to mention the infectious beat (probably done with LinnDrum or DMX) and the hypnotizing riffs both sound too infectious for a standart 80's groove / post-disco & boogie tracks of the day.The b-side 'Video Queen' is a part of new wave bandwagon which most of the funk groups were forced to jumped on to by early 80's. Still not fascinating as the A side, the track features some great synth patterns and impressive vocal chants could easily make you wanna grab a pair of futuristic new wave glasses with notorious combination of tight leather pants and leopard jacket & skinny tie as if you are invited to rock a party at Roxy, Danceteria or Negril and proudly strutt your stuff. 5/5

You are correct! For both songs, it's undeniable that the drums were from a Linndrum (NOT LM-1), The chords/riffs are most likely prophet-5. The bass might be a minimoog though. Great tracks.Nick Martinelli mixed "Video Queen", not "Never too late", btw.
