Sheet One and Musik were two of the first electronic music / techno LPs I ever heard, but this 12" will always stand out to me as definitive, early Plastikman. On Elektrostatik, the ever present kick is almost overshadowed by the synth, and how that single, simple line expands and contracts through the entire mix, is as mesmerizing now as it was when I heard it in 1995. And the way that Krakpot slowly adds parts and builds into a swirling mass of intensity. Set the standard for me.

Elektrostatik is pure acid. If you're in love with the 303, this is your track. Produced 20 years ago. Just stunning. Imagine looking back 20 years in 1988. A track from 1968 would have sounded like Doors, Stones, Chuck Berry or whatever. Looking now back 20 years it sounds like Plastikman. Think!

The evolving atmosphere in this is something incredible. Considering that most acid tracks are pretty boring due to so few different elements this record is totally rocking, especially the title track which is by far the best track from Richie Hawtin's Plastikman project. Over 11 minutes of pure acid lust and not boring for once. A perfect track where as the B-side wonder Elektrostatik is more lush, slower and almost chilled out four on the four acid experience, still cracking it up for it's hypnotic braindrilling melody.

Lektrostatik is without a doubt one of the best acid tracks around. Excellent build, supreme use of minimal acid yet remaining powerfull troughout the track. The combination of acid & rolling percussion get's you in a phrenetic frenzie & it's very hard not to move to this hypnotizin record.

Interesting...listen to the bottom end of the synth you are talking about because to me it sounds like a classic Richie Hawtin chugging 303 line. Perhaps a listen to some Circuit Breaker may remind you of what I am talking about.
DABY
sure sounds like a 303. along with some springy reverb and hazy filter phasing.
Bladecliff
Krakpot has a 303 in it. 100%.
Vozuru
There's no acid in that tune, I don't know what synth he's used but it's not a 303.
Danrad
Dirty, dirty acid house from the modern day master of it !! Krakpot builds into a rumbling, bubble of an acid monster.
