Dance Community - Rappers Delight by Sugarhill Gang came out 1979 and it is a record that is ACE( Chic epic -good times came out either 1979 and they sampled the bassline of it quick the same year-15:00 minutes of dancefloor pleasure- it started it all.What is then a Rockers Revenge- walking into sunshine from 1982?? Only 3 Years after the release of Rappers Delight , Walking on Sunshine by Rockers Revenge came out.Its not a similiar Dance/ Rap record-but its ACE and groundbreaking too its the earliest House Sound Record I know- before House Music was known by name to Djs, Dancers and the world.I dont say the records are the best of all dance records I know, but both made had a greater audience in europes discotheques than many othersand The straight beat and drums and the clever effect/ dub ideas using two classic 80ies funk records- on the rockin sunshine mix Arthur Baker grabs like a criminal element just for a 45 seconds in the mix Central Lines classic -walking into sunshine- and D-Train s classic -youre the one for me-.But this is not all. At the early time of 1982 they added here on this 12"a subtleness and a pure dancefloor oriented percussion energy that in this combination was new and for me, this is a very early experience in the later called style HOUSE Music.They Sampled, they EditedThanks to Arthur Baker and The Rockers Revenge. May this be in a better ranking someday.
